THE CHALLENGE

In recent years, Apple's product line has received criticism for lacking innovation. As a result, we sought to identify an opportunity to create the next mobile phone breakthrough at Radka.

THE OUTCOME

As a result of our research, we developed the concept of the "iPhone X Game," which aims to provide the ultimate mobile gaming experience for the over 2.5 billion people worldwide who play mobile games. With mobile gaming generating $93.2 billion annually, we believe there is a significant opportunity for Apple to become a leader in this rapidly growing industry. The touchscreen iPhone was a revolutionary innovation. We believe the iPhone X Game has the potential to be equally impactful, and we look forward to evaluating its potential as it develops.

THE CHALLENGE

With limited success, Coca-Cola has attempted to introduce several variants of its product, including Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Coke Life, Cherry Coke, and Coca-Cola Vanilla. Despite the launch of these products, they have failed to gain a significant foothold in the market and were discontinued. The challenge is to identify why these products failed to gain traction and explore potential opportunities to create a new Coca-Cola variant that resonates with consumers.

THE SOLUTION

Coca-Cola Digest — A new variant that leverages the traditional use of Coca-Cola as a digestive aid. Research suggests that Coca-Cola can aid digestion and can even remove stomach blockages. Based on this insight, we propose creating a new variant called "Coca-Cola Digest", which utilises the ingredients from the discontinued Coca-Cola Life and positions it as a functional drink that can help with digestion and upset stomachs.

THE CHALLENGE

Starbucks faces the challenge of identifying new ways to improve the customer experience and differentiate itself from its competitors.

THE SOLUTION

One potential solution is introducing a filling line on takeaway cups indicating maximum capacity to prevent spilling. This is a common issue for customers of coffee shops and is not currently a widely implemented practice in the industry. By implementing this solution, Starbucks would have a unique competitive advantage and provide a better user experience for its customers.

THE CHALLENGE

As a business, Pringles' primary objectives are to increase profitability and strengthen its customer base. Our challenge is to identify strategies to achieve these goals.

THE SOLUTION

We propose developing an annual seasonal campaign for Pringles that targets one of its core demographics: individuals between 8 and 23 years old. This campaign would involve repurposing the Pringles canister as a portable speaker. According to research, this demographic is heavily engaged in music consumption, particularly during the summer. This campaign will capitalize on this behaviour by offering a convenient solution for individuals who frequently need a portable speaker, whether at a friend's house or outdoor gatherings. Pringles will be positioned as the go-to brand for enhancing any occasion with music.

THE CHALLENGE

With COVID-19 and lockdowns forcing people to stay at home and the vulnerable being cautious of leaving their homes, how can Specsavers transition its services online whilst still duplicating the lost revenue gained from having a stable volume of customers coming through their stores?

THE SOLUTION

Implement an online eye prescription test to see if existing prescriptions are valid — not just for Specsavers customers but anyone with an existing eye prescription. If they need a new prescription, based on the results, they can order that prescription on the online Specsavers store. Furthermore, there will be an eye test to measure whether someone may need a prescription who doesn't already have one. It'll give a suggestion for what prescription they will need, providing a pathway to book an in-store appointment for a proper eye test.

THE CHALLENGE

The challenge of increasing sales for Primark while operating on a low-cost business model requires the development of cost-effective and innovative strategies for customer acquisition, product promotion, and brand loyalty. The limited budget for marketing and advertising, combined with a highly competitive retail industry and shift towards e-commerce, presents a unique challenge for the company.

THE SOLUTION

One potential solution could be to create a buzz around the brand by crashing a fashion week event and promoting the collection in Primark stores. To increase the visibility and reach of the campaign, giant print advertisements of the Fashion Week crash could be placed on billboards in crucial fashion districts across London. This strategy leverages the potential media coverage and viral nature of fashion week gatecrashes, capitalizing on the brand's existing customer base and reputation. The message that "Fashion was never expensive" could be emphasised to connect with the brand's target audience.

THE CHALLENGE

Homeless individuals often carry their possessions with them, which can significantly burden them physically and mentally. This can also lead to the potential loss or theft of important documents and property and contribute to litter in urban areas.

THE OUTCOME

To address this challenge, we propose developing a storage solution called "Tuube." This underground storage system would provide designated locations for homeless individuals to securely store their belongings, such as sleeping bags, clothing, food, and backpacks. This would alleviate the burden of carrying these items and provide security for the individual's property. By providing this service, homeless individuals can move around more efficiently, with less physical and mental burden.

THE BRIEF

In the highly competitive gaming industry, concept art is a field with a high level of competition, with many exceptional artists creating high-level concepts. Our challenge was to establish a prominent and recognisable brand within the industry, positioning it among the best in the field. Like luxury fashion brands such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton, the gaming community values the quality of design and craftsmanship combined with the prestige of owning a famous brand name. Our goal was to create this same prestige for Gamerse Concept Art Studio.

THE OUTCOME

To achieve this, we developed a unique approach to character design that appeals to a broad audience. Our objective was to create a brand synonymous with character design and to create characters closely associated with Gamerse. We also aimed to provide a support system for gaming studios that evokes a need for the services provided by Gamerse. Research indicates that 60% of game developers are male, and the industry is male-dominant. We found that this demographic responds well to simplicity and a straightforward approach with logical reasoning. With this in mind, we made accessing Gamerse's services simple and time-oriented while providing clear reasoning for every aspect of our approach.

THE CHALLENGE

Banhmi aimed to open a Vietnamese-inspired restaurant in a busy urban area to stand out in a crowded market. The brand needed a unique identity that would appeal to both locals and tourists, showcasing authentic flavours and a memorable dining experience. RADKA ADVERTISING was responsible for developing Banhmi's brand, including its concept, positioning, and both physical and digital presence, all designed to attract and build a loyal customer base.

THE OUTCOME

RADKA ADVERTISING started with market research and brand development to position Banhmi as a culturally rich experience. We created a brand identity with a logo, colour palette, and typography that reflected Vietnamese culture. The phrase "The Crust Heaven" was integrated into Banhmi's name to emphasise the restaurant's focus on the perfect crust of its Banhmi sandwiches. Our execution included designing the restaurant's interior and exterior, an OOH campaign, targeted digital outreach and a PPC campaign. A strategic distribution model and partnerships with delivery platforms increased Banhmi's visibility.

THE CHALLENGE

Inspired to address the urgent issue of acquaintance rape and sexual harassment faced by women, we've transformed the personal alarm into an anti-rape alarm named "Kick Ass!" with a powerful tagline: #ItsNoWhenISaySo. The objective was to empower women with a practical solution to protect themselves and encourage setting boundaries that are respected, aligning with the principles of hip-hop feminism.

THE SOLUTION

"Kick Ass!" is a comprehensive initiative that uses various tactics to boost empowerment and brand visibility. The branding reflects strength, while user testimonial videos on TikTok share relatable stories. Influencers participating in the hashtag challenge help spread the campaign's message. Digital and video ads promote protection and engage the target audience. Additionally, sampling increases brand awareness, and promotions and workshops on college campuses encourage open dialogue.

THE CHALLENGE

Creating a corporate social responsibility (CSR) campaign that differentiates it from its other major competition and aligns more with the Body Shop's brand purpose is an important task. The Body Shop is a feminist brand that empowers women and girls and promotes self-love through its products. One issue that aligns with this purpose is makeup insecurity, which affects many women and is directly related to the brand's range of skin care products.

THE SOLUTION

Our proposed CSR campaign is "Celebrating The Beauty Beneath", which focuses on tackling the insecurity of having a face without makeup and celebrating girls for the beauty beneath. This campaign aligns with the Body Shop's values of promoting self-love, rejecting the beauty industry's rules on how our bodies should look, and empowering women and girls. By focusing on makeup insecurity, the company will be able to differentiate itself from its competitors in the CSR space and align more with its brand purpose.

THE CHALLENGE

CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) promotes mental health and well-being. Anxiety is a prevalent concern in society, and effective ways to mitigate its effects are needed. One potential strategy is to modify the environment to encourage positive mental health outcomes.

THE SOLUTION

CALM will develop a campaign that utilises the principle of probability to alleviate anxiety. Research has shown that a lack of understanding of the likelihood of certain events can contribute to increased anxiety. Providing individuals with information about the odds of their feared outcomes can reduce anxiety and serve as a form of exposure therapy. The campaign consists of print advertisements placed in strategic locations, displaying the odds of various scenarios such as plane crashes, murder, imprisonment, homelessness, and spider bites.

THE CHALLENGE

Expanding a brand's target demographic is a strategic challenge that requires a thorough understanding of the market and consumer preferences. In the case of Maybelline, while the brand has traditionally focused on products for women, there may be an opportunity to target men as well.

THE SOLUTION

One potential solution to this challenge is to identify a specific need or pain point within the male demographic and develop a product to address it. One such need is the growing trend of patchy beards among men, which can negatively impact their self-esteem. By developing a product specifically designed to address this issue, Maybelline can differentiate itself from other men's lifestyle companies and position itself as a leader in the men's grooming market. The product, similar to a female eyeliner, can be a game changer in the market.

THE SOLUTION

One potential approach is to focus on a new campaign highlighting Extra Chewing Gum's benefits for jawline strengthening. This campaign can be based on the growing interest in mewing, products to increase jaw strength, and facial exercise routines to increase jaw size and strength among both male and female audiences. This is a unique benefit of Wrigley's Extra chewing gum that has not been extensively highlighted in previous marketing efforts. THE CHALLENGE

The decline in reading rates among school children is a significant issue, as it has a negative impact on their education and future success. This trend has been exacerbated by the increased use of technology and social media, which has led to a decrease in the consumption of long-form content, including books.

THE SOLUTION

Playaway is a solution that addresses this challenge by providing an alternative method for consuming high-quality information. By partnering with the British government, Playaway will offer audiobooks to school children, which research shows is a growing trend among this demographic. This approach aligns with the increased use of technology for learning and the fact that many students find reading hardcover books outside class unappealing. By promoting audiobooks as a way of extracurricular learning, Playaway aims to help students maintain high literacy rates and continue to develop their knowledge and skills.
